As part of our efforts to combat GBV in our communities, INTERCEP organised an interschool debate for secondary school students in Jos North on the motion "Patriarchy is a barrier to men's involvement in gender-based violence prevention."

The students actively argued and brought out different perspectives about the menace of the GBV, showing that we all have a role to play in this fight against GBV.

As part of our ongoing efforts to curb the menace of the GBV, INTERCEP invited 10 secondary school students who were earlier trained on the GBV in June, to a radio engagement at Jay FM, Jos.
The purpose of this engagement was to share their understanding of the threats posed by the GBV. Some of the questions they responded to revolve around the areas of the identification, management, and reporting of GBV cases. They emphasised the if-you-see-something-say-something mantra, and called on parents, especially mothers to relate well and create an atmosphere of engagement between themselves and their children.
This project was carried out by INTERCEP in partnership with the Nigerian Women Trust Fund (NWTF).
