⚽ Paul Scholes Questions Patrick Dorgu’s Role in Manchester United’s System ⚽

During a recent YouTube chat with fans, Manchester United legend Paul Scholes spoke about the signing of Patrick Dorgu, who joined the club from Lecce for £30 million in January 2025.

Scholes expressed some doubts about how Dorgu fits into Ruben Amorim’s tactical system. He said,
"You know, his wing-backs like Mazraoui, Dalot or Dorgu, they get acres and acres of space, but once they get into the final third, there’s no quality."

He added,
"I think maybe you bring someone who's more thinking of attacking rather than defending. Dorgu is more of a defensive player, so that might not be quite what’s needed."

On how this affects the team’s attacking threat, Scholes observed,
"It’s a difficult one because the wing-back role requires you to defend but also be a winger in the final third. You want someone who can really run at defenders and create chances."

Scholes also pointed out the challenges with the current setup:
"It’s confusing for us fans, but Amorim knows his system well. The wing-backs need to contribute more going forward, and right now, that’s lacking."

What do you think? Does Dorgu have what it takes to thrive in this system, or does United need to rethink their wing-back options? Drop your thoughts below! 👇

Ruben Amorim on Luke Shaw after Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth:

"It wasn’t the plan to keep him on for 90 minutes, but when you need to win games, you don’t think about the next one. We lost Dalot, and Luke’s quality in the final third was important for us. It was a risk, but we believe he’ll be ready for the next matches."

🚨 Five Reasons Why Ruben Amorim Is Wrong to Keep Bruno Fernandes at Manchester United 🚨

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has shut down rumors of Bruno Fernandes leaving for Real Madrid, insisting that the Portuguese star is staying. “We want to win the Premier League again, so we want the best players to continue with us,” Amorim said.

But is keeping Bruno the right decision? Here are five reasons why letting him go might actually be better for United:

🔴 Age & Playing Style – Bruno is approaching 30, and Amorim’s high-intensity system thrives on younger, more energetic players. Can he keep up long-term?

💰 His Wages – At over €300,000 per week, Bruno is one of the club’s highest earners. With Financial Fair Play (FFP) and Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) in play, selling him could ease financial pressure.

⚽ Blocking Young Talent – Rising stars like Kobbie Mainoo, Toby Collyer, and Tyler Fletcher need opportunities. Keeping Bruno limits their development and game time.

📢 Media Scrutiny – Despite being one of United’s best players, Bruno is constantly criticized by the English press. A fresh start elsewhere might be what he needs.

🌍 A New Challenge – At 29, Bruno could still secure a big move and test himself in a new league. Would a transfer be best for both him and United?

What do you think? Should United keep Bruno or let him go? 🤔⬇️
