Topic: When We Walk With Him.
Text: Gen 5:24
Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away. NIV

This is too huge to comprehend. How can a man, a human like you and me, walk with God to a point where the earth could no longer contain him? This is more than a mystery.

Do you think he knew he would be taken? Had God told him? Did he trust in God to bring his word to pass?

When a man walks with God, his life is brightened. It doesn't stop there, it only keeps shining... unto perfection (Provers 4:18).

A man in Christ Jesus is automatically unmoved by his outer environment. He is renewed and quickened in Christ. The Spirit of God within him rules over him (Romans 8:11).

In your walk with God, things like sin, anger, strife, and death are dealt with, not excluding your desires and passion. And eternal life is activated, you are filled with the joy of the Holy Ghost, and your desires are made anew. Jesus says in John 4: 34,
My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. NKJV

Beloved, what is your will? Do you feel you do not have all it takes to walk with God? Do you feel eternal life is not attainable? I want to let you know that it is not about you, but about the one who made you and brought you to earth. He created everyone of us for His pleasures.

It is very possible to walk with God, but not with our abilities. The Psalmist says,
Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes, And I shall keep it to the end.Psalms 119:33 NKJV

CONFESSION
I walk in the light of the Lord.
My will is made perfect in Him.

TOPIC: Blessings through the Holy Spirit
TEXT: Ephesians 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

Jesus' total dependence on the Holy Spirit was proof that a believer in Christ cannot live outside the Holy Spirit. That was why He spoke of the coming of the Holy Spirit before and after His death; and when He ascended, He fulfilled his promise– He poured out His Spirit on His people.

The Holy Spirit is God's gift to believers. They're meant to be companions, partners, and friends. In order words, every believer must have an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit.

God, by His mercies, has BLESSED us in Christ Jesus. We became blessed the very day we came in contact with the light. But for these blessings to be accessed, they must be accessed through the Holy Spirit.

The prophecy of God to prophet Joel was not fulfilled until the Holy Spirit came. If you look at Joel 2:28 closely, you'd notice that "your sons and daughters will prophecy..." came after "I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh." This means that, until the Holy Spirit comes, your sons and daughters cannot and will not prophesy.

Romans 5:5 says,
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

The reason why we are confident of God's love towards us is that we have the Holy Spirit. This is what keeps our faith rooted always. And this is why every believer must long for intimacy with the Holy Spirit.

Again, 1 Cor 2:9 says, eyes have not seen, nor ears heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Just like our anchor text, God has PREPARED the things He has for His children already. But how do we access these things? Through the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 2:9: KJV:But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God).

Little wonder, Eph 1:3 puts it as "Spiritual blessings in Christ."

Apostle Paul, broadening Ephesians 1:3, says in chapter 2:6,
And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.
The good news now is, since we have His Spirit, we've been raised with Him in the Heavenly realms, where we have access to the spiritual blessings in Christ. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION:
I've been made one with the Holy Spirit.
By the Holy Spirit, I have access to all that God has prepared for His children.
I am Spiritually blessed in Christ.

TOPIC: The Source
TEXT: John 15:5
AMP:I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

When you take a fish out of the water, it won't take much time for it to die. This is because the land is not its natural habitat (environment). Likewise, a man cannot survive in the water, because the water is not his environment. If he must stay in the water, he must possess a gill for gaseous exchange.

So taking a fish out of the water/putting the man into the water is like exposing them to death. This has a lot to do with their wiring.

Our anchor scripture tells us that Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches: the branch has no life of its own, it only lives in relationship to the vine. The purpose of the branch is to serve as a vehicle through which the vine expresses itself. The branch cannot survive without the vine.

In the early chapters of Genesis, we could see the relationship that existed between God and man. God did not only create man to have dominion, multiply, or replenish the earth, He also created man for fellowship. Little wonder He would come to man in the cool of the evening.

When God created man, He left a vacuum in man which only Him can fill. In other words, man has been wired to long for and submit to a higher authority. It was because of this that the children of Israel brought about idol worship. And today, we see the Hindus, Buddhists, traditionalist, and even the atheist. Everyone one of them has something they strongly hold on to.

Some people go as far as making a god out of unspeakable acts... all to fill a void in them. What they do not know is that God does not have a duplicate. It's either Him or Him. We came out of Him (Genesis 2:7), so if we must live, we must remain in Him; otherwise, we are just existing.

Jesus said, “NIV:Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” (John 15:4)

A man who is not rooted in Christ cannot be fruitful. It's a principle that will always exist. Being fruitful has nothing to do with physical prosperity, fame, and affluence. These are only the world's definitions of fruitfulness (prosperity). A fruitful man is a man whose life is built on Jesus. (Acts 17:28— KJV:For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.)

When Jesus says, “without me, ye can do nothing,” He means, even everything you have and possess outside me is nothing. Your charitable deeds and self-righteousness are nothing before me.

No matter where a man goes, no matter the heights he attains, no matter his achievements, no matter the religion he embraces, he will never find true fulfillment if he's not connected to the true source; God. But those in Christ are already fulfilled.

So, a man could wake up one day and say, as the deer pants for the water, so my soul pants for you Lord. It is because he realized his life would never have meaning without God, his source.

CONFESSION
I am connected to the Father;
And so live a fruitful life.
Everything within and around me prospers.
My relationship with the Father blossoms by the day.
I am forever hidden in Christ Jesus.
