The Disability Projects Initiative successfully hosted the 1st Cohort of a 2-Day Capacity Building Training on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Kano State, Nigeria. The training took place between 15 — 16 April, 2026.

With the support of the Disability Rights Fund, this training equipped participants with practical knowledge and skills to understand climate change impacts, strengthen resilience, and actively participate in .

This training aims to empower persons with disabilities with the knowledge, skills, and practical strategies needed to understand climate change, reduce its impacts, and actively participate in community climate action and environmental sustainability.
