What began as a promise at the WAVES Showcase has now become a reality.

Women beneficiaries of the WAVES II Project, supported by Ambassade de France au Nigéria in Kano State have been empowered with processing machines by the Kano State Ministry of Budget and Planning, strengthening livelihoods and reinforcing economic empowerment as a pathway to reducing vulnerability to Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

For the women, this support represents more than equipment, it is an appreciation of their resilience, and an also renewed opportunity to build more sustainable sources of income for their families.

From restarting businesses to keeping children in school and applying climate-smart farming techniques, beneficiaries are already turning training into transformation.
