Allahuma balighna Ramadhan🤲🤲

Another Ramadhan, so many messages, a lot of plans and it seems like there's still so much to unpack in your heart. Time is not stopping and you don't know how it's going to be this year. Again you know Ramadhan is special, but you don't want to just keep hearin it from others, you want to feel it beyond the words, you want to be connected. But you don't know how! It feels overwhelming already!

You want to feel the lightness being described because your heart, your heart feels so heavy you could drown in it, so Ramadhan should just come and take it all away, but again, how does that work,  do you just read the Qur'an, observe tahjjud, cook, take care of the family, give Sadaqah or is there more to it?

Ramadhan is a gift and one that should be cherished deeply, but how do you cherish what you don't know How to unwrap? How do you use what you don't understand? How do you get what you are struggling to connect to especially when others seem to be having it better, but like gibberish you don't understand what they're describing?

Sometimes we feel this distance from Allah especially when we're waiting and we try to grasp at straws, anything that would close the gap for us, we struggle to feel Him especially when we are in desperate need of something. It can feel different for different people depending on the situation.

For the waiting Muslim Mum it can feel like Allah isn't listening or maybe it's because your sins are a lot hence why you keep asking and He's not giving, we come up with so many things to fill our time especially when we are frustrated in the wait and tawakkul looks like an abstract phenomenon and you begin to wonder if Allah is really near!

You are not alone sis, Allah does love you, He is listening to you, He heard all you've said, He knows the pain of your heart, don't turn away from Him, instead stay in His presence, hold on to Him, as broken as you feel, take it to Him. He is near, even/especially when it doesn't feel like it.

Happy New week sisters.

A story that stood out in our conversation tonight with our sisters and was the story of Zakariyyah.

He was a man in pain, with fear of not having a child to inherit him, he was a man that had everything going against him, his age, his wife's age etc. Yet He stood with all the conviction in his heart. Trusting fully in His Rabb.

You can feel his conviction when he said to Allah, "walam akum bi duaa ika Robbi shaqiyyan" I have never been disappointed in my prayer to you. (Suratul Maryam vs 4)

He had everything going against him, it was a seemingly impossible situation. But yet.. He prayed, with absolute trust in who his Lord is.

And Allah rewarded his conviction with a son.

Today we were reminded that Allah is indeed Al-Wakeel, and Al- Mujeeb.

Don't stop praying sisters. Allah is with you and verily He is sufficient for you. Keep asking and with all of your heart, trust that He would answer you and you would be pleased.
