Is your car scratched??

Is it a surface scratch, or has the paint been damaged?

I am Babatunde Tosin popularly known as Tinuketreasure, the automotive copywriter and a mathematician

Today, I will be telling you how to fix your scratched car yourself

Let's begin with the surface scratch.

You will need a clean cloth, rubbing compound(light abrasive), and a little water to repair this kind of scratch.

After wetting the cloth with water

apply the rubbing compound to the area of damage.

Apply it thoroughly

then use the cloth to rub it until it dries completely.

Your car's surface should be free of the scratch after doing this.

For a deeper scratch...

You will need to put in a bit more effort.

You must first use soapy water to clean the area surrounding the scratch.

Next...
..lightly sand the area with sandpaper

Although the clear coat is the thickest part of your car’s paint, sandpaper is meant to remove material, so tread lightly.

After sanding the area, you'll need to apply a body filler.

This can be purchased at most auto parts stores.

Mix the filler according to the package directions...
..then apply it to the area you've sanded.

Allow it to dry completely.

Once it's dry, you can sand it smooth and then apply primer and paint.

Finally, seal the paint with a clear coat to protect it from the elements.

To know that no amount of reading or advice can prepare you.

If you want to do a good job, just start doing it and continue to keep doing it until you get it right.

This is how solid DIY(do it yourself) car work gets done;

practice and persistence.

Before you know it, you’ve become someone who can fix their car paint themselves.

5 untold Truths about Automatic Drive

People who drive automatic cars know that

P is parking gear

R is the reverse gear

N is neutral gear

D is for forward gear

What is L?

Many people do not know the functions of the L-gear

My name is Babatunde Tosin popularly known as Tinuketreasure, the automotive copywriter and a mathematician

Today, I will tell you the functions of the L file...
..the number 5 could save your life one day

1. When driving on a ramp, if you feel the vehicle is underpowered

Put the gear into the L gear and the vehicle can easily climb the hill

2. When starting a vehicle in the snow...
.. the wheels are very easy to slick

You can switch the gear to the L gear so that the vehicle can start smoothly

3. When going down a steep slope, many drivers are used to keeping the D gear and stepping on the brake frequently...
..doing so can easily lead to brake failure

In this case, switch the gear to the L gear...
..and the vehicle can go down the steep slope safely

4. When the vehicle passes through the waterlogged road section...
..the gear can be put into the L gear

If it is in the D gear...
..it is easy to trigger the engine start-stop function

If the vehicle stalls while on water...
..a second start may result in engine damage

5. When the vehicle brake suddenly fails while driving...
..don't panic

Switch the gear to the L gear

This can slow down the vehicle and stop safely

How to Reduce the Fuel Usage of Your Car

If you are presently in Nigeria, you can testify to how expensive fuel costs

The way you drive affects how much fuel your car uses...

My name is Babatunde Tosin Folasade, popularly known as Tinuketreasure, the automotive copywriter and a mathematician

Today, I will be telling you a savior of fuel consumption

One typical driving behavior that consumes fuel a lot is using a heavy foot.

Driving with heavy feet causes you to brake suddenly and accelerate rapidly.

Driving in this manner strains the engine more, making it run harder and consume more fuel.

You may be surprised to learn that sudden braking and acceleration might cause the car to lose control and stability.

This leads to an increase in the engine's RPM (revolutions per minute).

When the engine is running at a higher RPM, it has to work harder to maintain that speed so, it uses more fuel

To know that Heavy-footed driving, or "lead-foot driving," is a term used to describe aggressive driving behaviors like speeding, rapid acceleration, and rapid braking.

These behaviors can increase fuel consumption by up to 33%

Aggressive driving also has other negative effects, like increased wear and tear on the vehicle, decreased safety, and increased emissions.

So it's best to avoid heavy-footed driving whenever possible.

Do you drive with a heavy foot?

The more I learn about relationships, the more I love cars...

I have a deep and abiding love for cars.

I love everything about them...

from their design and engineering to the way they make me feel when I'm behind the wheel.

Cars are not just transportation for me, they're a way to express myself and connect with the world around me.

I love the way they make me feel powerful and free, and I love the challenge of learning about their inner workings.

I know quite alright that It is hard to explain why you love something to someone who does not

But...
I have this unshakable belief that cars are living entities that one can develop relationships with

And to explain this to a non-car person could be the hardest thing to do.

Cars are my passion, and I will always be a car enthusiast

Are you a car enthusiast?

Can you relate??

let me know about your love for cars in the comment section if you can relate
