I can’t stop talking about this!
The significance of a ring in a wedding is similar to the wine given to a man by the wife in Igbo Trad.
You can’t throw away ring when asked to put it on your partner’s finger and still go ahead with the wedding. It’s a sign of rejection and the officiating minister will instantly call off the wedding.
Why then do you think it’s ok to pour away your wine and still go ahead with the marriage rites without any consequences?
The heartbreaking one is when the bride pours away the wine herself. So you don’t even trust your father too?
