What happens during a crisis?

In Sickle Cell Anaemia, red blood cells can change shape and become hard and sticky.

These cells block blood flow, stopping oxygen from reaching parts of the body.

This is what causes the severe pain, weakness, and discomfort known as a crisis.

Simple truth:
No blood flow = No oxygen = Pain

What to do:
* Drink water
* Rest well
* Keep warm
