3c(dF + eo)/gh = 8
Make F the subject of the formula.
Solution.
1. If any of both sides is a fraction ( i.e has denominator and numerator) cross multiply.
3c(dF + eo)/gh = 8 / 1
3c(dF + eo) × 1= 8 × gh
3c(dF + eo) = 8gh
2. Open bracket.
3c(dF + eo) = 8gh
3c(dF) + 3c(eo) = 8gh
3dcF + 3ceo = 8gh
3. Simplify (leave the coefficient that contains the subject of the formula at one side and transfer the rest to the other side i.e 3dcF stays at one side.)
3dcF + 3ceo = 8gh
3dcF = 8gh - 3ceo
4. Further simplification (leave your subject of the formula at one side by dividing both sides of the equation by the coefficient that contains the subject of the formula (i.e 3dcF) by the remaining coefficients except the subject of the formula (i.e 3dc))
3dcF/3dc = (8gh - 3ceo)/3dc
F = (8gh - 3ceo)/3dc.
