The Chairman, Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area, Hon. Morenike Adesina Williams has vowed to distribute 10,000 free face masks as part of its contributions to the people in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Head Media & Publicity Secretary of the council, Comrade A.S. Oseni disclosed this in a Wednesday statement. According to the statement, the council boss said the process of getting the supply of 10,000 face masks from the manufacturer is ongoing. [ 126 more words ]

Two new COVID-19-related deaths have been confirmed in Lagos, bringing total number of fatalities to 16. Commissioner for Health in the state, Prof. Akin Abayomi disclosed this in a series of tweets on Tuesday morning. He said that although no new case of infection was recorded on Monday, April 20, two new deaths were recorded. Recall that Akindele was arrested and prosecuted by the Lagos State government for violating the social distancing rule, when she hosted a birthday party for her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, aka JJC Skills.
