*APAPA LG BOSS PUTS SMILES ON RESIDENTS' FACES THROUGH PALIATIVE*
Known for her passion for positive change for her people, The Executive Chairman of Apapa Local Government, Hon Idowu Adejumoke Senbanjo on Saturday put smiles on the faces of several residents who trooped into the council's secretariat to get food paliative.
The council chair in her speech explained that the gesture was made possible through the directive and resources made available by His Excellency the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and aimed at alleviating the burden of the harsh economy on the most vulnerable.
"In times of hardship and uncertainty, it is heartwarming to see our leaders coming together to provide support and assistance to those in need. Through the distribution of these food palliatives, we aim to alleviate the burden on the most vulnerable members of our community and ensure that no one goes hungry ⁶during these challenging times." , she said.
Senbanjo further admonished residents to spread kindness and compassion, to look out for one another, and to continue supporting each other through difficult times as she stressed the significants of lifting others up and the importance of collaborative efforts in overcoming challenging times.
The council secretariat was a bee hive of activities as residents were seen in an organized manner, beaming with smiles carry their packs containing rice, beans and cassava flake (garri) out of the LG.
The event which took place at the council secretariat saw the active involvement of
various stakeholders, including the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Councilors, Supervisors, SSA's, Management staff, Community leaders and Resident members.
Hon. Senbanjo who has made it a routine to give out palliative at intervals, not just food but also cash, appreciated Mr. Governor for his unwavering determination to bring relief to the residents while she commended the residents for their support for her administration as she reiterated her commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of the people.
