KWARA PILGRIMS TO BEGIN RETURN FROM HAJJ ON SUNDAY

The first batch of pilgrims from Kwara State who participated in the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia is expected to arrive in Ilorin on Sunday, June 7, according to the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, disclosed that 560 pilgrims will be transported by MaxAir and are scheduled to land at the Babatunde Idiagbon International Airport, Ilorin, on Sunday.

He explained that the return operation has been structured in phases, with the second batch expected on Tuesday, the third batch on Friday, and the final batch scheduled to arrive on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

Abdulkadir noted that all Kwara pilgrims are in good health and high spirits, expressing gratitude to Allah for a successful Hajj exercise.

The Chairman of the Board, Professor Mashood Mahmud-Jimba, commended the support of the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for contributing to the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.

He also assured families and well-wishers that adequate arrangements have been made to ensure a seamless reception for the returning pilgrims.
