CHARACTERISTICS OF THE TRUTH.. continued
3. THE TRUTH IS POWERFUL
Jesus Christ said "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32) Since the Truth is capable of making one free, then the Truth must be more powerful than any enslaving force.
Through the Scripture, we're made to understand that no one can go into a strong man's house (or territory) and spoil it except he first bind (over power) the strong man. (Matthew 12:29; Mark 3:27). So, if the Truth is capable of enforcing the freedom of anyone that submits to Him, then the Truth must be more powerful and more forceful than any so called strong man.
Not forgetting that the Word of God is the Truth, it'll be easy to understand why the Truth is the most powerful. Where the Word of a king is, there is power. (Ecclesiastes 8:4) How much more of power will then be prevalent wherever the Truth (God's Word) is?
"The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty." (Psalm 29:4)
"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)
It's now evident why countless are walloping is diverse slavery, for the words they're living with are not the Truth.
Jesus Christ, the Truth incarnate, said "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." (John 8:36) This shows that if you need freedom over any enslaving force, all you need to consult is the Truth. For the Truth is the most powerful; stronger than the strongest. If what anyone is presenting to you is not powerful enough to completely liberate you from your various challenges, know for sure that it's not the Truth. Hence, you must reject it and seek to lay hold on the Truth to encounter the power that'll make you rule over all affairs of life.
4. THE TRUTH IS SETTLED
To be settled is to be comfortable and to be at ease, especially in the midst of challenges, unrest and trouble. Another striking characteristic of the Truth is that, it's unperturbed. The Truth is not disturbed or flustered. The Truth doesn't care about what's coming; it's not concerned of who's on its side or not; it's not moved by the number of persons following. The Truth is settled, so comfortable.
The kind of peace prevailing in the Truth is beyond what anyone can explain. It's kind of peace is eternal just as the Truth is eternal. The Scripture says "For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven." (Psalm 119:89) So, "as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10) in the case of the Word of God, so is the Truth settled forever. If the Truth is settled from now till forever, and the Truth is constant and all powerful, then there's no reason for the Truth not to be in full peace. By effect, anyone living in the Truth will always be at peace, not anxious for anything. (Philippians 4:6-7)
Do you know why many are not experiencing peace? It's because they're working with lies; they know not the Truth. Do you know why many ministries and ministers are running from pillars to posts? It's because they're fakers; they know not the Truth. The reason it's difficult for your mind to be at a state of rest, is because you're not operating with the Truth. The reason your career, family, business, and the like, are under siege is because you don't know the Truth. The day you know the Truth and decided to make use of the Truth you know, that will be the day you'll be free from all forms of unrest.
In essence, every sign of agitation, anxiety or unrest is a sign of deception, falsehood and lies. It'll do you good to vehemently reject it alongside the person or thing presenting it. Embrace the Truth and you'll be settled forever!

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE TRUTH
"By their fruits, you'll know them." This's the Word of Jesus Christ (the Truth incarnate) recorded in Matthew 7:20. As such, if you need to ascertain the Truth, all you need to do is check the distinguishing features.
Everyone readily purports to be saying the Truth. And many take a stand, presenting themselves as representatives of the Truth. However, if you closely check at their features, you'll be able to separate the Truth and the fake. For this reason, it's important you know the characteristics of the Truth so that you'll be liberated from countless lies and liars that are pervading the societies.
Therefore, the following are the characteristics of the Truth.
1. THE TRUTH IS CONSTANT
One of the striking characteristics of the Truth is its constancy. The Truth is universal and eternal. Irrespective of the time and space, the Truth never changes. Irrespective of who accepts or rejects the Truth, that doesn't change the Truth. From yesterday to tomorrow, the Truth always remains the same. So, whatsoever or whosoever changes because of time, space, support, rejection, circumstances, or what have you, can be anything but never the Truth.
Throughout the Scripture, you'll find out that all the Word of God are constant. And since the Word of God is the Truth, its constancy is not negotiable. (Psalm 100:5; 117:2). Since Jesus Christ is the Word of God (John 1:14) and the Truth (John 14:6), these also confirm that the Truth is always the same every time because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8).
It's worthy of conclusion that whatever anyone says, that isn't in conformity with the Word of God, is a lie. And it doesn't matter who is saying what, if such is not speaking in God, such is a liar. (Number 23:19; Romans 3:4; Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18).
This characteristic of the Truth should inform you that it's not only humans who can lie; things and circumstances can also lie. Note that anyone or anything that isn't saying or showing you the reality of what God says, is a liar. Therefore, you must seek the Word of God and make sure the same is constant in your life and experience, for you to be said of standing and living in the Truth. If this isn't so, you'll also be accounted as a liar.
2. THE TRUTH IS THE REAL REALITY
The ability of the Truth to be constant yesterday, today and forever validates this next characteristic of the Truth. What doesn't have the ability to change is definitely the reality any day any time. Every other things changes, but the Truth cannot change. Therefore, the Truth is real reality.
I love emphasizing that the Truth is the real reality. This's because there are various realities to different people at different times in different phases of their lives. What's real to me might not be real to you. Also, what's real to me today might not be real tomorrow. For I am susceptible to changes through time, knowledge and actions.
Every human, everything made by humans, and everything that can be influenced and altered by humans are susceptible to changes. That they can change is the reality, the Truth. However, their changes per time doesn't define the real reality. The real reality of everything made by God is in the Word of God. Whosoever or whatsoever is in variance to the reality of the Word of God is living or manifesting a man-made reality that's utterly a lie to the reality of the Word of God.
Any other reality can only be real for a moment (a short time); it's the reality of the Word of God that last forever. For that reason, the Truth (that's always constant) is the real reality. It outlives all, thereby proving other realities (which are circumstantial realities) as lies.
It's therefore wise for you to seek the real reality. Even if it's not your present physical reality, as you continue to renew your soul with it, and putting its dictates to profitable actions, the real reality will soon become your own reality, thereby making you live in conformity with the Truth as the Truth.

UNDERSTANDING THE TRUTH
The Truth is always standing right in our front; yet, it's difficult for an average human to see or grasp Him. In fact, Nature is shouting the Truth at us, such that we're all encapsulated by the Truth without knowing. This's not far fetched, for humanity has degenerated into foolish beings since the time their souls are relinquished to the command of the father of lies (satan). However, the Truth is always knocking at the door of everyone's heart; whosoever opens to the Truth becomes wise. (Revelation 3:20)
Quite many, over the years, have allowed the Truth to rule their lives. Such have been able to prove the fact that living in the Truth is the beauty of humanity. Whereas, those who failed to accept the Truth, lived merely as higher animals. God made humanity to live in and by the Truth; that's the reason He doesn't stop presenting the Truth to whosoever cares to see and embrace Him.
With the aim to live in the balance of Grace and Truth, the Truth has to be understood just as Grace. While efforts have been devoted to expatiating everything about Grace, equal efforts will now be devoted to explaining the Truth in plain words, without ambiguity. Now, it'll do you great good if you'll catch up with our posts for the rest of this month. Surely, through the leading of the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Truth), we shall be brought to the full knowledge of the Truth.
