Digital safety for women today is not just about passwords or secure devices. It’s about being able to exist, speak, work, and connect online without fear.
The digital world opens opportunities, but also risks: harassment, impersonation, intimidation, and non-consensual content often push women offline.
Real safety isn’t just logging off, it requires guidance, resources, and support systems. Women need spaces to ask questions and learn how to protect themselves.
This Women’s Month, join SafeHerClinic as we unpack digital safety for women and share practical ways to stay protected. Stay tuned for details!

Some stories remind us why access to the right training matters.
Before joining the CyberSafe API Security Training Program, Zaharah Nakawungu was already working in software development, building APIs and backend systems. What she hadn’t explored deeply yet was how to secure them, and that realization pushed her to take the next step in her cybersecurity journey.
The program challenged her in many ways, from running technical labs to working through real API security scenarios. But the hands-on learning and support from the community helped her build the skills and confidence she needed. Just weeks after graduating, Zaharah secured a role as an IT Security Specialist - Applications & Software Security.
As we look back at stories like Zaharah’s, we’re also looking ahead. Cohort 2 of the program will be graduating this March, and follow along as we continue sharing more My APISEC Story spotlights and introduce the women preparing to take the next step in their cybersecurity careers.

Every cybersecurity journey starts somewhere.
Before joining the CyberGirls Fellowship by CyberSafe Foundation, Faustina was interested in tech but unsure how to begin or how to break into the industry. Like many young women, the interest was there, but the pathway wasn’t always clear.
Through the fellowship, she gained structured cybersecurity training, mentorship, hands-on labs, and a supportive community of women learning and growing together.
Today, Faustina is building her cybersecurity skills and becoming part of a growing network of women contributing to Africa’s digital future. Follow this series as we continue spotlighting CyberGirls Success Stories.
