PEACE TALKS YIELD RESULTS AS 70 CAPTIVES REGAIN FREEDOM IN FASKARI IN KATSINA STATE

Faskari, Katsina State – A total of 70 captives have been released following peace negotiations with bandits in Faskari Local Government Area.

Reports indicate that 30 people were freed on Wednesday, while another 40 regained freedom today. The release is seen as part of ongoing efforts to restore peace in the area.

However, the bandit leader, Isya Kwashen Garwa, has expressed concern over alleged military operations in Ruwangodiya community, warning that continued clashes could jeopardize the fragile peace process.
