Before you buy any Tokunbo (used) tyre, please make sure you understand the type of tyre you’re picking.
Many people unknowingly buy winter tyres, thinking they are buying strong, graded tyres.
But winter tyres are not designed for hot roads like Nigerian road 🛣️
❌ Why Winter Tyres Are Dangerous,...🔥
Winter tyres are built with soft rubber meant for snow and cold conditions.
On hot roads, this soft rubber heats up faster, becomes weak and can burst easily.
They wear out extremely fast and lose grip on dry, hot surfaces.
They are not suitable for long journeys, heavy loads, or high speed on highways.
✔️ What You Should Look For Instead
When buying Tokunbo tyres, look for:
All-Season (A/S) tyres
All-Terrain (A/T) tyres
Highway Terrain (H/T) tyres
These tyres are designed to handle cold weather, winter (snow) temperature, and driving conditions

Always check the tyre category before you buy.
A tyre may look new and clean, but if it is a winter tyre, it is NOT ideal for country with hot weather.
