The Federal Government has announced plans to transition from the existing 6-3-3-4 education structure to a 12-year basic education model. This proposal aims to provide uninterrupted learning for students up to the age of 16, aligning Nigeria's education system with international standards. The new model seeks to standardize curricula nationwide and introduce vocational and entrepreneurial skills early in the education process.
