❤️. *THE HEART*
=====≠========≠==
is a muscular organ that pumps blood throughout the body. It's about the size of a fist,The heart has four chambers: two upper chambers called the atria, and two lower chambers called the ventricles. The atria receive blood from the veins, and the ventricles pump blood out to the rest of the body.
**Basic structure of the heart* , 💕
====≠=====
It includes four chambers*
★ the valves, and the blood vessels that connect to it.
*FUNCTIONS OF THE HEART*❤️
pumping blood and regulating blood pressure.
*FOUR VALVES OF HEART*
==≠=============
1.mitral valve,
2. tricuspid valve,
3. pulmonary valve,
4. aortic valve.
°°°°The valves work like one-way doors that allow blood to flow in only one direction. The mitral and tricuspid valves control the flow of blood into the ventricles, and the pulmonary and aortic valves control the flow of blood out of the ventricles.
The heartbeat is controlled by the heart's electrical system. When the heart contracts, it pushes blood out to the body. Then, when the heart relaxes, it fills back up with blood. Each contraction and relaxation cycle is called a heartbeat. The average resting heart rate is 60 to 100 beats per minute.
😀The heart's electrical system is made up of a network of specialized cells called the sinoatrial (SA) node, the atrioventricular (AV) node, and the Purkinje fibers. The SA node is the heart's natural pacemaker. It sends electrical signals to the AV node, which then transmits the signals to the ventricles through the Purkinje fibers. The electrical signals cause the heart to contract and pump blood.
**Heart's blood supply.*
The heart receives its own blood supply through a network of blood vessels called the coronary arteries. These arteries can become narrowed or blocked by a buildup of plaque, a condition called coronary artery disease. If a coronary artery becomes completely blocked, it can cause a heart attack.
*SYMPTOMS OF HEART ❤️ ATTACK*
Next, let's talk about the heart's blood supply. The heart receives its own blood supply through a network of blood vessels called the coronary arteries. These arteries can become narrowed or blocked by a buildup of plaque, a condition called coronary artery disease.
1. Chest pain 2.Discomfort, which may feel like pressure, squeezing, or fullness in the center of the chest. 3.Shortness of breath, &pain
4.Discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw, or stomach, breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea or vomiting, and lightheadedness.
_Seek for medical check-up_
A heart attack occurs when blood flow to the heart is blocked, usually by a blood clot. Without blood and oxygen, heart muscle cells begin to die, and this can damage the heart and lead to death if not treated quickly. Heart attacks can range from mild to severe, and even a mild heart attack can be serious. Heart attacks are often a medical emergency, and treatment should be sought as soon as possible.
*WHAT IS NORMAL BLOOD PRESSURE ?*
Normal blood pressure is considered to be less than 120/80 mm Hg. The top number, 120, is called the systolic pressure, and it represents the pressure when the heart contracts. The bottom number, 80, is called the diastolic pressure, and it represents the pressure when the heart relaxes. Blood pressure is considered high if it's consistently above 130/80 mm Hg.
