Over the week, Human Rights Foundation Nigeria successfully facilitated the release of Mohammed Adulraman who had been imprisoned for about 9 months, we had legally advised him to change his plea to guilty to the charge of stealing.

The court in its judgment sentenced him to nine months’ imprisonment, effective from the date of his first remand in custody.

Having already spent nine months in detention, he was released immediately.
