The "Mission Accomplished" Vibe
A Tale of Two Deadlines
They said it couldn't be done. (No one actually said that, but it sounds dramatic.)
Last month, I faced the final boss: The Defence Committee. Armed with a Binded Copy and a prayer, I emerged victorious. The degree was, for all intents and purposes, in the bag.
But there was one last, physical, menacing hurdle: The Hardcover.
This week, after a final showdown with the printer, a binding machine, and probably a glue stick, the mission is officially, completely, and undeniably ACCOMPLISHED.
The project is DONE-done. Not just "presented-done." I'm talking about the kind of done that has a physical weight you can thump on a table.
Time to celebrate... for real this time! 🥳
The Hands That Shaped Me
I still remember the first time I held my dad's hand. It was rough, calloused, and weathered from years of hard work. But as I looked up at him, I saw a heart of gold shining through his eyes.
As I grew older, I began to appreciate the sacrifices he made for our family. The early mornings, late nights, and endless labor. His hands told a story of love, perseverance, and dedication. They were the hands that lifted heavy loads, fixed broken things, and provided for our family.
But it wasn't just the physical labor that amazed me. It was the gentle way he held my mom's hand, the kind way he spoke to my siblings and me, and the selfless way he put our needs before his own.
As I look at my own hands today, I see a glimpse of his. Rough around the edges, but with a heart that strives to be as pure as his. My dad's hands symbolize hard work, love, and the secrets he keeps.
So, take a moment to appreciate the hands that shaped you. Whether it's your dad, mom, or another caregiver, their hands hold a story of love, sacrifice, and dedication.
