The issue is not even exactly about completing it 60 or 100 times, but the fact that many youths do not allow the Qur’an to pass through them because they never reflect on it. Although it is highly encouraged to finish as many times as possible, but the most important thing Muslims of this generation need is pondering over the words and trying to let it reflect on our characters. After all, the pious predecessors like Imam Shafi’i (May Allah have mercy on him) who used to read it 60 times during Ramadan was way more righteous than we are and the first step to becoming like him is reflecting on the words of Allah and not racing to finish it so we can boast around. May Allah make us people of the Qur’an…. Aaameen
