So, I bought some fruits for my wife and daughters earlier today.

I had parked beside one old mama in her 70s.

When I was to pay mama, I simply requested and asked mama to call out her bank details for me so that I can pay her.

Mama said No o, that she only receives payment in cash.

I said, but mama, I don’t have cash Moreso I am buying fruits worth N6,300

She said, she doesn’t receive payment se via transfer.

So the woman next to her selling vegetables told her to allow me send the payment to her while she gives mama the cash, more so, I should add charges.

Okayed by Mama, so I proceeded to send from my OPay account.

I went head and told mama I will be sending her N7,000 so that she can use the N700 addition to buy drink.

Mama wasn’t impressed as all she wanted was her money.

I don’t know maybe some one has duped mama before in her life or may be she doesn’t believe in tech app money transfers; as she stood beside me like I was going to run away with her fruits without payment.

Well, I continued with my OPay app and as I put my password. That is where the main gist started.

OPay brought up the automated security checks.

And in the middle of the main road, OPay asked me to open my mouth like someone that wants to receive spiritual food. And that’s when mama ran for her life.

She ran and was looking at me as I was nodding my head like agama.

I tried calling mama to come and see the receipt after i had sent successfully.

Mama from afar pointing with her hand and saying, she is not selling again 😹

It was the other woman having confirmed payment that told me to go. 😁

OPay, in as much as I love the security guards for my money, pls not on the road when thousands of people will see me opening my mouth and nodding my head and wondering what is happening to this old young man 😹😂
