Cynthia Emami wins the Graduate Student Teaching Award 2026 at the University of Kentucky.

They keep doing us proud. On Friday May 8, 2026, former VHCI Lab Research Assistant Cynthia Emami, in her penultimate PhD year, was adjudged the best overall graduate teacher.

Congratulations Uliogho, you always had it in you. Now keep shining okay?!

Dr. Ikeola Josephine Bodunde, a very big congratulations on your PhD.

Ike was the VHCI Lab Research Administrator from 2020-2022.

She and her wonderful RAs deserve huge credit for our Templeton World Charity Foundation funded work on VR and empathy and compassion, and the subsequent one with Meta.

Today she gets a well deserved PhD. Ike, you believed, you worked hard, you persevered!
