It's funny π how I would give my little cousin questions to answer, and she would stylishly try to ask for the answer to the one she doesn't know.
For example, I gave her a "fill in the missing letters" question, which she asked for.
So, this is how it goes:
Her: I'm almost at number 12.
Me: Okay.
Her: But I don't know the answer.
Me: Oh, think about it. It's a word you know.
Her: Okay.
After about 2 minutes or so:
Her: I still can't figure it out. Can you please give me a hint?
Me: Okay. It's a color.
(Just so you know, dear reader, the word was "black" with the letters "a" and "k" omitted, as in "b_ac_.")
Then she came back after a few seconds.
Her: There's no color I can think of.
Me: Really?
Her: Yes.
I decided not to say a word. π€
Her: Can you give me another hint, please? π
In my head, I'm thinking, "What other hint could I give you that wouldn't be the answer?" π₯²π₯²
Me: Have you checked all the colors that start with the letter B? (I knew that I had just told her the answer by saying this.)
And immediately, she shouted, "Black!!"
And that's how she succeeded.
But I guess it's also fair to teach her how to figure out the missing letters so that next time, she'll be able to do it herself.
P.S.: She's very smart though. πβ€β€β€

My secondary school days were really cool π.
Except I don't remember owning a calculator. Or did I? π€ Yeah, no! I didn't, not until my university days.
When I speak of a calculator, I mean the black-colored scientific calculator. π
I haven't learned all that it could do yetβyes, the calculator.
Then I came across the CΓ£sio calculator.π
I'm pretty sure most of you already know this calculator.
Even as a tutor, I haven't yet discovered all that it can do.
I mean, a calculator that can solve simple equations, calculus, and so much more! ππ
Now, don't get me wrong π when I speak so highly of CasΓo. I am well aware that regular scientific calculators can also perform some of these tasks, but not as much as Δasio.
And yes, there are even more powerful calculators than CaΕio, but CasiΓ³ is more common now.
Yeah, so where was I? Oh! Yep.
So, when I see a secondary school student owning a CasΔ«o calculator, I'm usually worried π because what if he/she finds out all that it could do? π€·ββοΈ
Well, now you know π, reader (except you already knew before).
But you know what you don't know? How to go about it! (I mean, unless you already knew ππ€£)
Tell me what you want to know in the comments.
Enjoy your day, readers ππβ€β¨!

I was trying πͺ to explain a math concept to an SS1 boy
βmodulo arithmetic, to be precise. If youβre not familiar with this (I mean, you wouldnβt be if you didnβt study math or any math-related courses, and of course π if you arenβt in high school, even though some secondary school students might not know it), it deals with residues, meaning remainders. (Let me know in the comment section if you would like me to explain the concept here.)
Anyways, back to my story. While I was teaching him, guess what he asked me? ππππ
Ummmmmmβ¦ πππππππ Nope π
π», you guessed wrong! He asked, and I quote, "Who invented modulo arithmetic?" ππ
And in my head ππ, Iβm like, "Um, we are not studying history here."
And guess the answer I gave? Yep, you guessed that right β
. I said, "Google it."
So, itβs either one of these two things π€ that were going on with the boy π¦:
1. He was already tired π«.
2. He was trying to understand the idea π€£ behind the concept.
And, of course, the latter is the case ππππ.
Note: I love the concept β€ but not as much as I love you, readers π.
Thanks for reading π. Donβt forgΔt to give me a folΕow MIDA CONED online classes and show love by liking and sh@ring.
