After the Nigeria"s civil war in 1970, i was told that the Nigerian military government then organised a thanksgiving service. The question here is; Why did they stop the thanksgiving service that could have been a yearly celebration till date?

Well, i believe that's why God now brought it back to us a vision called "Unity Praise Project" that we should unite Nigerians to show forth our heartfelt gratitude to God as a people and as a nation on every 1st October, instead of the usual march pasts, military salutes and gun shots that only reminds us of the wounds, hatred, the hunger of the civil war.

That is why this year's independence day celebration, as we gear toward our general elections in 2027, we want Nigerians to remember that war is not the best option for a people God has helped through independence, civil war, military dictatorship and a whole lot.
