Job Title: Logistics Officer, Transport

Reports to: Supply Chain Manager

Location: Lagos Island VI

Employment Type: Permanent & Full time

Job brief:

We are hiring for a client into telecommunication engineering, a logistics officer, transport.

Responsibilities:

Always ensures the whereabouts of all vehicles and drivers.

· Ensures that the fleet is clean, maintained, insured, and meets the country’s road regulations.

· Makes sure to be reachable 24/7 for emergency cases.

· Leads and represents the drivers.

· Ensures that all drivers are performing according to the job description.

· Meets with drivers on a weekly basis to discuss their concerns.

· Supervises the logbooks and ensures that the information contained is adequate.

· Builds regular contacts with vehicle & drivers’ rental companies.

· Follows up on vehicles being repaired and ensures they are handed over on time.

· Follows up on all insurance claims.

· Generate a weekly report from the tracking device system on all the vehicles and submit it to his direct supervisor.

Requirements

First degree in Business admin, logistics or related field.

Proven experience of a minimum of 2-4 years within a similar or same role.

Work experience in a Logistics or transport industry.

Ability to Prioritize.

Strong Organizational Skills.

Intermediate level on Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint.

Strong Oral Communication Skills.

Negotiating Talent, Superb with Deadlines.

Decisive, Advanced Problem-Solving Capabilities.

Professional, Thorough, Detail-Oriented.

Ability to Process the Big-Picture Items.

Proven leadership and management skills

Ability to delegate tasks and supervise others.

Great multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail

Salary: 150,000 monthly gross.
