from - Angela Luna () is not your typical fashion design student. Sitting in class, she was studying the latest fashion trends but when she went home she saw the refugee crisis that was going on around the world.

She felt a huge disconnect between what she was studying and what was happening in the outside world. 3 years into her degree she thought about switching majors to something more humanity based so she could make a real impact but after talking to humanitarian workers, she settled on something different. She made the choice to stick to design.

After studying refugees and talking to humanitarian agencies, she decided to focus on the most prominent challenges faced by refugees that she could address through design, such as the need for warmth and protection from the elements.

So she launched an innovative clothing line called ADIFF () that focuses on the needs of refugees.
The collection of garments includes, a tent that also works as a jacket, a sleeping bag that doubles as a jacket, reflective reversible jackets, a jacket that has a built in pouch for carrying a kid and a jacket that converts into a backpack.

Angela is trying to create social change through fashion. In her own words she says, "this whole collection was also about finding a way to prove that fashion could be more than just clothes. I feel like, in every industry, there's opportunities to make a difference, it's just up to you to figure out how you can kind of make that opportunity yourself.”
