30 Days of Awareness on Teen Mental Wellbeing
Day 7: Signs of Emotional Struggles in Teenagers
Do you know that emotional struggles in teenagers are not always obvious?
Teenagers donβt always say, βIβm not okay.β Sometimes, their struggles show up through changes in their behaviour, emotions, or daily habits.
Recognizing these signs early can make a big difference.
Some common signs to watch for include:
π Sudden mood changes or irritability.
π Withdrawing from family and friends.
π Losing interest in activities they once enjoyed.
π Changes in sleep or eating habits.
π Difficulty concentrating or a decline in school performance.
π Feeling hopeless, worthless, or overwhelmed for a prolonged period.
These signs do not always mean a teenager has a mental health condition, but they are important signals that they may need understanding, support, and someone to listen without judgment.
How can you help?
β Listen with empathy.
β Spend quality time together.
β Encourage open conversations.
β Seek professional support when needed.
Remember:
Sometimes, the greatest gift you can give a teenager is your time, your patience, and your willingness to listen.
As parents, caregivers, teachers, and mentors, letβs create safe spaces where every teenager feels seen, heard, and valued.
π¬ Question of the Day:
If a friend seemed emotionally overwhelmed, what would you do to support them?

INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING
June 26, 2026
Theme: βThe World Drug Problem: Persisting Issues, New Challenges, Innovative Responses.β
Drug abuse is more than an individual struggle. It is a social issue that affects families, schools, and entire communities. Every child and young person deserves the opportunity to grow in a safe, supportive, and drug-free environment.
At PACE SETTERS Integrated Social Intervention Initiative, we believe that prevention begins with education, positive relationships, life skills, and strong community support. By equipping children and adolescents with the knowledge, confidence, and resilience to make healthy choices, we can reduce their vulnerability to substance abuse.
On this International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, we call on parents, educators, caregivers, faith-based organizations, community leaders, and policymakers to work together in protecting our young people from the dangers of drug abuse.
Every conversation matters. Every intervention counts. Every child deserves hope.
Together, we can build a generation that chooses purpose over drugs and hope over addiction.
Say NO to Drug Abuse.
Say YES to Healthy Choices, Hope, and a Brighter Future.
