Man's Ultimate Desire
Wait a minute and ask yourself, why do I do what I do? Or simply put why are you doing what you're doing right now? Why do you want to have money? Why do you want to get Education? Why are you seeking for business to do? In fact, why do you want to get married?
Have you ever thought about the "WHY" behind every one of your actions?
A majority of the world desires to gain wealth and material resources at all costs. There is this serious pursuit for money, youths are willing to get rich quick, using any means available - our society is gradually changing as everyone desires to follow his self-motivated path!
But, I will like you to take a moment and think about this; after you have successfully gathered all you desire, what will be your point of satisfaction?
See what a wise man said;
Ecclesiastes 2:11 Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.
There is nothing in this world that can bring satisfaction to the heart of man! No matter your level of accomplishment, if you don't have peace you can't be satisfied!
And Peace is only promised in one person;
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
The only one who has overcome the world is the one that has assured us of Peace! The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus is to the end that you might have Peace and have it in abundance!
All you need to do is to believe that He died for your sins and was resurrected for your justification! God desires that you have all you desire but ultimately He wants you Saved so you can dwell in perfect peace and fit into His Eternal Plan for you! Are you ready?

Topic: WHEN YOU ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT
READ;
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bo***ge again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
It is important for believers to take advantage of the gifts given to us that separate us from the world. On a regular basis, I usually say this; the difference between a believer and an unbeliever is in nothing physical, it's not in your physique, it's not in your material wealth - that basic difference between a believer and an unbeliever is the Holy Spirit given to us.
We have the Spirit of God that's why we are called the son of God. The Bible made it clear that; anyone that doesn't have the Spirit of God doesn't belong to God. (Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.) Therefore, we know we belong to God because we have the Spirit of Christ in us.
This Spirit isn't in us for decoration - there's a responsibility the Holy Spirit is meant to perform in us on a regular basis. It's the Spirit that constantly put us in reminder that we are the Children of God. We are meant to walk in truth at all times; it's the Spirit that's saddled with the responsibility to guide us into all truth. He's to comfort, counsel and guide us. And ultimately, He is to lead us and order our steps.
However, it becomes important for us to allow the Holy Spirit to perform His responsibility in our lives because, when we are led by the Spirit, we don't labour as fools, we don't labour in vain, we don't make decisions that will hurt us, we don't enter into relationships that will jeopardise our walk with God. We don't sow on barren ground - we don't do things that will bring shame to us or than will make the name of God to be blasphemed.
When you allow the Spirit to lead, you can never go wrong, you can never be victim of circumstances - your life can only be meaningful and better. You can only do things that'll work in your favour and that's in alignment with the will of God. The Spirit guides us to stay perfect and complete in God's will - this is what will be the testimony of your life when you allow the Spirit to lead!!!
You're blessed

Topic: KNOWING YOURSELF (3)
READ;
2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
One of the challenges you can experience in the quest to know who you are is to understand where exactly you can search out your identity. I told you yesterday that; Christ Is the image of God and you become that same image the moment you believe the Gospel. But, you may still be wondering why you are living below the characteristics that come with being in God's image. You may even think why you are not doing all that Christ did since you are as Him (Christ)
Hebrews 2:6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?
2:7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
You are considering why all of these great things that come with being a new creature has not been experiences by you. The next verse that follows the text above gave us an insight;
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
We see Jesus!!! That's the main point. Until your focus and attention rests on Jesus, you'll keep living below God's will for yourself. Christ Jesus already undergo all that's required, He already attained it for us, we receive the nature, the new life automatically when we believed the Gospel. In fact, the Bible called us “God's workmanship” that is; God's finished product. This implies that; everything you are meant to be, you are already in Christ.
But, bridging this spiritual reality into your consciousness is what understanding your identity stands for. Allowing your mind to comprehend your nature, allowing your mind to digest and become aware of who God has made you to be is all that you have as responsibility.
That's why a prototype was given - Christ!!! He already attained it and we get to know ourselves as we focus on Him.
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
How do we focus on Christ?
We focus on Christ through the study of the Bible with a Christocentric approach. We must study scripture not to look for ourselves or discover ourselves but to know Christ the more;
2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.
Our transformation deals with the mind, as we focus on Christ, our mind will begin to undergo renewal and as it's been renewed, we are being transformed!!!
Look at this;
1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
As Christ is today, so are you in this world!!!
What a great thing to be in union with Christ? You are sitted in Him at the right hand of God. You have power over powers and principalities. His life is your life!!!
We only rely on the integrity of the Bible to know who we are as believer!!!
You are Blessed

Topic: BE COMMITTED TO SPIRITUAL GROWTH (6)
Read;
1 Peter 2:1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
2:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
Another important aspect of our commitment to spiritual growth is established in our prayer life. It is highly essential to understand that; prayers is not just a way of expressing grievances to God, it is a communion, it is an avenue to spend quality time with God. Prayers is a spiritual exercise that help ward off distractions. The more we spend time with God in prayers, the more the changes we experience in our daily lives. Spiritual growth is not as burdensome as we think, it's simply a daily and consistent commitment to spiritual exercise.
Growth doesn't come by studying alone, it encompasses consistency in Spiritual exercise. Many at times, our attention in prayers is to cause a change in the situation around us, probably there's a difficulty we are facing, we've come up with a mindset that; it is a time to fast and pray. As much as this is true, prayer changes situation but the most important thing about prayers is that; it must change you!!! If prayers has not change you, you have not prayed.
Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
The above text gave us an insight to the fact that; we don't pray just to settle situations, we pray to build ourselves up spiritually, we grow as we pray why? It builds our intimacy with the Father. We express ourselves and He commune with us.
Read these;
Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Epaphras cease not to pray for the Church, so that they may stand perfect in the will of God. We were instructed to pray without ceasing (1Thessalonians 5:17, Luke 18:1) pray to change things but most importantly, pray to change yourself!!!
However, we can't concentrate on prayers alone as the spiritual exercise that brings about growth, we have other things that must take our attention and we must be committed to.
In our Primary School rhyme, there's a special one that teaches how to grow spiritually but it's a pity that no one took time to lay emphasis on the words of that rhyme;
“Read your Bible and pray everyday
Pray everyday (X2)
Read your Bible and pray everyday
If you want to grow!!!
The way to grow is established in how consistent and dedicated we are to Spiritual exercise on a daily basis, it is established in how much we fill our days with study, prayers, fasting, meditation and practice of spiritual things. Also, in how much we preach to others!!!
Make a decision today, take spiritual growth as your priority, and decide to be committed to spiritual exercise. Your growth is equivalent to your commitment and consistence!!!
You can follow this plan, it will help you (for starter)
Set apart at least one (1) hour of your day to do spiritual exercise.. Make sure it's a particular time where distraction will be minimal. It can be morning or night
Spend the first 10 minutes to pray
Spend another 20minutes studying
Spend 10 minutes meditating on what you've learnt from studying
Spend the last 20minutes praying (praying in the holy ghost is much advisable)
REPEAT AT THE EXACT TIME EVERYDAY
You'll see increase in your timing as you maintain consistency!!!
Your one hour can turn to five hours or more
To grow, you need a consistent
Fasting life
Personal vigil life
Personal Retreat time
Prayer life
Study life
Meditation Life
Preaching & Teaching life
Commitment to a local church
Practice of spiritual gift
Obedience to God's word
Amen?
Let's continue later
