Reconciliation is just like double checking.. Checking again to see that two or more record points align with each other!

So at the end of the week as a business owner (especially if you have employees or sales reps) you should take the sales book or template and your bank statement.. cross check it line by line to be sure that the bank transfers align. Crosscheck the pos sales as well using POS statement from your bank to be sure that it tallies with what is in your bank account and what is in y our sales records.

It is also important to reconcile your inventory! You have on record that you sold a 100 pieces but you did not count to ensure that it is correct… you might just count and see that you actually sold 110 pieces so where did the extra 10 fly to? These are the things that reconciliation will open your eyes to see!!
