In commemoration of World IP Day, I’ll be representing Nigeria at ImpactHER, ( ) a non-governmental organization backed by the African Union to empower women-led innovation.

This year’s global theme, “IP and Sports: Ready, Set, Innovate,” reminds us how intellectual property rights fuel creativity, protect innovation, and drive economic growth across sectors.

The theme also explores applying the principles of sportsmanship as a model for innovation and intellectual property development, in line with this year’s global focus.

I’ll be delivering a keynote presentation on: WOMEN, INNOVATION & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

At the just concluded WIPO Nigeria Women’s Summit, with the theme ‘audacity for change’ I shared that audacity is not merely the courage to pursue what you desire, but the ability to seize an opportunity even when you feel unqualified.

Audacity became a virtue I embraced at a very young age. It led me to found my own law firm, establish one of the worlds leading intellectual property firms in Nigeria, serve as a director of five corporate boards, and participate in more than 50 speaking engagements over the years.

Audacity is both a propeller and a sustainer, and I am grateful for the opportunity to represent Inventa at the WIPO Nigeria Women’s Summit.
