Setting out is one of the most critical stages of any construction project. Every point staked has to be exactly where the design says it should be, because everything that gets built afterward references it. Foundations, columns, walls — all of it traces back to these points.
On this site, that meant working through swamp water that came up to the waist. No clean ground. No easy footing. Just the design coordinates, the instrument, and the determination to get every point right regardless of the conditions.
The terrain does not get a vote on accuracy.
