Lasting impact is achieved through collaboration. Working with Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) strengthens local ownership and ensures that advocacy efforts continue well beyond the project lifecycle. We are happy to see our trained CBOs take the lead and continue to champion the elimination of Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM) within their communities.
One of our partner CBOs, Glorious Child Of Hope Foundation WEB, recently collaborated with Shepherd Group of Schools during its Parents' Forum to raise awareness on child protection and family wellbeing.
The session focused on:
🔹 Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM)
🔹 Gender-Based Violence (GBV)
🔹 Domestic Violence
🔹 Child Abuse and Neglect
Parents were enlightened on the meaning and types of FGM. Also, the difference between Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM) and male circumcision was well explained, emphasizing that FGM is a harmful practice with severe physical, emotional, and psychological consequences. They were also encouraged to protect their children, foster peaceful homes, and report all forms of violence and abuse.
This is what sustainable impact looks like: communities leading the movement to protect women and girls and creating safer environments where every child can thrive.
Together, we can end FGM.

A simple kit. A powerful reminder that every woman and girl deserves dignity. 💜
Across Makoko, Sogunro, Oko-Agbon Communities, Yaba, and Lagos Mainland, smiles were shared, conversations were sparked, and dignity was restored as Action Health Incorporated (AHI), in partnership with UNFPA, distributed dignity kits to women and girls.
Because when women and girls have access to menstrual hygiene products and accurate information, they are better equipped to stay healthy, remain confident, and participate fully in school, work, and everyday life.
These moments remind us that lasting impact begins with showing up, listening, and ensuring that no one is left behind.
Together, we're building healthier communities. One dignity kit, One conversation, and One Woman. 💜
