HOW TO APPLY FOR THE CBN ‘100 for 100 PPP LOAN

The CBN launched the 100 for 100 Policy on Production and Productivity (PPP) targeted at private companies who have a project to fund and can apply for as much as N5 billion under the scheme.

What CBN Aim to achieve:

The Central Bank of Nigeria is prepared to select 100 private sector companies with projects that have the potential to significantly increase domestic production and productivity, reduce imports, increase non-oil exports, and overall improvements in the foreign exchange generating capacity of the Nigerian economy.

The loan maximum amount is N5 billion per obligor and any amount above N5 billion shall require the special approval of CBN’s Management.

More Details:

The interest rates on this intervention are 5.0% p.a. (all-inclusive) up to 28th February 2022, thereafter, interest on the facility shall revert to 9% p.a. (all-inclusive) effective from 1st March 2022.

CBN would monitor the progress of the company.

The CBN “100 for 100 Policy for Production and Productivity” (100 for 100 PPP).

FG has been borrowing massively to fund the economy out of recession and reduce inflation but though I have doubts about the utilization of the fund but yet there is no other easy way out.

But to create jobs FG needs to aggressively fund the following sectors of the economy;

The CBN will screen and finance eligible 100 companies every 100 days.

It's a Long-term loan for the acquisition of plant and machinery and Working capital, tenor between 3yrs and 10years, a Loan maximum of N5 billion per obligor, and up to a 2year moratorium.
