No longer shall we endure frivolous distractions and empty boasts within our borders. Ogun State stands as a beacon of wisdom, knowledge, and political acumen in Nigeria, a cradle of illustrious sons and daughters who have shaped our nation’s destiny. We are not a people to be instructed in politics by outsiders; our heritage is rich, our culture profound, and our governance a model for others to emulate.

Let it be known that leadership in Ogun State is not a mantle to be assumed lightly or by those without genuine roots in our soil. Any who aspire to lead us must first present clear and credible evidence of their lineage, their forefathers, and their family’s place within Ogun Central, Ogun East, or Ogun West. A state of origin certificate from the relevant local government is not a mere formality but a testament to one’s authentic connection to this great state.

We call upon all who claim Ogun State as their home to provide comprehensive information about their family background, upbringing, and educational history within our communities. This is not a request made in suspicion, but a necessary safeguard to preserve the integrity of our leadership and honor the legacy of our ancestors.

Ogun State is a pacesetter in culture, education, and governance, a shining example for neighboring cities and states. Let us protect this legacy by ensuring that only true sons and daughters, who have walked our streets, studied in our schools, and shared in our communal life, step forward to guide us.
