Role Summary
We are seeking Business Intelligence / Data Analyst to support remote, project-based visualization and analytics initiatives. The immediate focus is productionizing and visualizing unit costing metrics and delivering clear, actionable reporting to product partners through interactive dashboards and concise insights.
Key Responsibilities Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports (primarily Tableau, with Power BI as needed) for unit costing and performance metrics. Translate business questions into well-defined metrics, calculations, and reporting requirements (e.g., cost per unit, drivers, trends, variances). Productionize reporting assets: improve reliability, documentation, refresh logic, and stakeholder-ready outputs. Perform data validation/QA, reconcile totals, and ensure metric definitions are consistent across tools and stakeholders. Use Excel for data preparation, checks, prototyping, and ad hoc analysis (including Power Query/pivots where applicable). Provide business analysis and narrative insights: identify trends, anomalies, and key drivers; communicate “so what” conclusions. Partner with product stakeholders to gather requirements, iterate quickly, and deliver dashboards that are intuitive and decision-ready. Create lightweight documentation: metric definitions, dashboard guides, data lineage assumptions, and release notes.
Required Qualifications Proven experience in Power BI / analytics delivering stakeholder-facing dashboards and insights. Strong proficiency in Tableau, Excel, and Power BI. Solid understanding of KPI design, metric governance, and analytical storytelling (turning data into decisions). Experience working with unit economics / unit costing or operational performance metrics (preferred). Strong attention to detail (QA discipline) and ability to work independently in a remote environment. Clear written and verbal communication; able to explain metrics to non-technical audiences.
