Before 2025 JAMB Registration Begins: 7 Essential Preparations
1. Get Your National Identification Number (NIN)

The NIN is now mandatory for UTME/DE registration. We strongly recommend obtaining yours as soon as possible if you don't have it yet.
2. Ensure You Have a Registered Phone Number for Profile Code Creation

Before registering, you'll need to generate a profile code by sending your NIN via a registered phone number to JAMB's shortcode. Ensure you have a valid, registered phone number (preferably MTN) for this process. Note that all future SMS updates from JAMB will be sent to this number, so use your personal number.
3. Set Up a Free Email Address

Your email address will serve as a backup for your JAMB profile. Providing an email address is mandatory during registration. Fortunately, setting up an email account is quick, free, and easy. We recommend using Gmail ((link unavailable)) for simplicity.
