🎉 HISTORIC WIN: Nigeria's Sexual Harassment Bill Has Passed
After years of advocacy, Nigerian students now have legal protection against sexual harassment in tertiary institutions.
THE BILL INCLUDES:
✅ 5-14 years imprisonment for offenders
✅ Penalties for institutional leaders who ignore cases
✅ Independent reporting systems
✅ Transparent justice mechanisms
At STER, we've fought for this since 2019 — through our investigation partnership, nationwide campaigns, and advocacy with lawmakers.
Now comes implementation. We call on every tertiary institution in Nigeria to act swiftly. Protection must be proactive, not reactive.
Every student deserves safety. Every survivor deserves justice.

Fact: Nigeria ranks 181/193 globally in women’s representation. The Special Seats Bill isn’t a favour; it’s a solution to systemic exclusion. This bill will bring us closer to a democracy that includes everyone.
We need a Nigeria where women are represented, respected, and leading at every level.
