Dear ladies,

Before saying YES, pause.

Pray.

Think.

Ask hard questions.

Marriage is too important to enter blindly.

1. ✅CAN THIS MAN GIVE ME PEACE?

Beauty is good.

Money is good.

Chemistry is good.

But peace is priceless.

Ask yourself:

Do I feel safe around him?

Does he bring peace or confusion?

Do we constantly fight?

Marriage should not become a battlefield.

A broken courtship is better than a troubled marriage.

2. ✅DOES HE LOVE GOD AND SUBMIT TO GODLY VALUES?

Marriage cannot rise above character.

Ask:

Does he genuinely fear God?

Can he control himself?

Does he live by values?

A man without self-control can become dangerous to marriage.

Love God first before loving me.

3. ✅CAN WE WALK TOGETHER IN PURPOSE?

Amos 3:3 says:

"Can two walk together except they agree?"

Ask:

Do we agree in vision?

Purpose?

Faith?

Values?

Direction?

Love without agreement can become struggle.

4. ✅HOW DOES HE TREAT PEOPLE?

Watch how he treats:

Waiters.

Parents.

Pastors.

Friends.

People below him.

Character speaks loudly.

If he dishonors others today, do not assume marriage will automatically change him.

Marriage reveals character; it does not create it.

5. ✅CAN HE HANDLE DIFFICULT SEASONS?

Marriage has seasons.

Good seasons.

Growth seasons.

Financial seasons.

Pressure seasons.

Ask yourself:

Can this man stand during difficult times?

Can he lead during pressure?

Can he remain stable when life changes?

Marriage needs resilience.

6. ✅DO I ADMIRE HIM OR AM I ONLY ATTRACTED?

Attraction alone is not enough.

Ask:

Do I respect him?

Do I admire his values?

Would I still choose him without money, looks, or status?

Butterflies fade.

Character remains.

7. ✅CAN I GLADLY SUBMIT TO HIS LEADERSHIP?

This is a difficult but important question.

Marriage involves leadership and partnership.

Ask:

Can I trust his judgment?

Can I respect his leadership?

Can I build with him?

If respect is absent before marriage, marriage may become difficult.

Do not only ask:

“Do I love him?”

Also ask:

Can we build peace?

Can we build purpose?

Can we build a future?

Can we build a godly home?

The goal is not merely to marry.
