Tobi fell on a sloppy ground and stood up with a major wound beside his knee. It was a dark Christmas because of his injury.

Tobi wore a purple trouser with a black shirt that our mum got him when he sustained the injury. Out of the excitement of the yuletide season, in the year 2008, he believed that it was the best time to play with his friends.

Children do not pay attention, they say. They do not care if the ground is slippery because of the heavy downpour.
They believe the ticking of the clock means we should play and laugh always.

But 2008 was different. Tobi's accident brought a different atmosphere to the family with the wound he sustained. We thought it would heal up within a few days but it didn't heal for weeks until the hospital became our home.

We spent the Yuletide season beside the hospital bed, gazing into Tobi's eyes as he mourned in pain.

The nurses became his closest friends as they attended to his wounds daily. It was a dark Christmas indeed.

What could've been the problem? I thought. it was just a wound expected to heal after some days. We were later informed by the Doctor that Tobi's wound wasn't just a wound.
