AfDB high 5’s towards a greater Africa, How close are we?

We have seen bad days with famine, hunger, malnourished African citizens and all, but worse hours approach if cogent measures are not taken. Even worst if those hours turn to days and more. Urbanization is a major concern today, with rapidly growing population projected to 60% of the population by 2050. With the present state of life and half-starved agriculture, how will they be fed and how do they survive? An age of political and social instability approaches if tangible actions aren’t taken now to prepare.
At least, once a year, a gathering is formulated to discuss the way forward to the epidemic disease of economic instability that has plagued the African land. The present is one of those times in 2016. Africa Development Bank has instigated a gathering to paint a view of the future of nourished, integrated, industrialized and powered Africans with improved life quality across the continent. Just like the painted image of the future at the start of this write-up, it may seem impossible to achieve in view of the present circumstances. Nelson Mandela understood this when he said “It always seems impossible until it is done”
African Development Bank has drawn plans and commenced the pavement to the bright future of Africans with the very five items on the menu that makes a delicacy of positive Africa’s transformation.
1. An illuminated and fully powered Africa
2. Affordable food for all Africans
3. Industrialization; a wheel for African transformation
4. The move to Integrate Africa
5. The Goal; Improving the quality of life for Africans
With a stable and affordable power supply for all, emanates more agricultural production and industrialization that puts food in the mouth and incomes in the pocket. Also sequel to improved agricultural production and enhanced industrialized African states is pronounced African countries integration with efficient Intra-African trades. All these four on-going achievements directly results to economic growth, improved quality of life of the people of Africa and posterity. To an ordinary man, this may yet be an unattainable task. In the world of today, the best of us are those who do not necessarily believe what they see but rather see what they believe. That is the secret of a great mind. It is a thin line between facts and fantasies that makes every great idea possible. It’s only a matter of what we want and then believing in it to actually do not only something about it but to give it everything it takes. Let us sow our seed properly today so we can harvest greatly tomorrow.
