BREAKING: Two Abducted Traders Rescued in Joint Egbe Vigilante–Police Operation

Two traders who were abducted while travelling from Koro to Egbe for the popular Abu Market have been successfully rescued.

The Egbe Vigilante Group, working in collaboration with the Kwara State Police Command, recovered the two remaining victims on Wednesday, 16 December 2025.

The traders were kidnapped on 2 December 2025 while on their way to the market, sparking fear among residents and traders who ply the route regularly.

Their safe recovery follows sustained search and rescue efforts by local vigilantes and security operatives.

Authorities have not yet disclosed further details regarding the circumstances of the rescue or the condition of the victims.

However, community leaders have praised the joint operation, describing it as a reassuring step towards improving security along the Koro–Egbe axis.
