Empowering Children Through Learning Recreation, and Protection Activities.

As part of our ongoing interventions at El-Miskin Camp, Pro-Wellness Humanitarian Initiative carried out a child protection activity aimed at creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where children could learn, interact freely, and experience moments of happiness despite challenging circumstances.

The session featured exciting recreational and educational activities designed to promote child wellbeing, emotional support, social interaction, confidence building, and protection awareness among vulnerable children.
Through these activities, children laughed, connected with one another, participated actively, and enjoyed a safe space where they felt seen, valued, protected, and cared for.

The smiles, excitement, and confidence displayed throughout the session were truly heartwarming and a strong reminder of the importance of continuously creating safe spaces where every child can grow, learn, and thrive.

At PROWI, we remain committed to sustaining our support for vulnerable children and communities through impactful protection, psychosocial, and wellbeing activities across the camp.

Strengthening Women-Led Voices in Humanitarian Action

Yesterday, our team participated in a productive engagement meeting with the Global GBV Coordinator, the UNFPA team, and the Borno State Women-Led Organizations Executive members in Maiduguri.

The engagement focused on understanding the perspectives of Women-Led Organizations on the humanitarian reset and transition process, including the challenges faced by women-led groups in humanitarian response and coordination. Discussions also explored ways to strengthen Gender-Based Violence (GBV) response mechanisms, promote localization, and ensure that women and girls continue to receive the protection, support, and services they deserve.

Meaningful conversations were held around inclusion, collaboration, and strengthening community-driven solutions that create sustainable and lasting impact within vulnerable communities.
Together, we remain committed to amplifying the voices of Women-Led Organizations and contributing to humanitarian solutions that positively transform lives and communities.
