N10 MILLION NAIRA LAW SUITS AGAINST ZAAMO TRANSPORT.
We want to start by sincerely apologizing to Hon. Amande Msughter Solomon for the incident that occured this morning.
Hon. Amande booked a Zaamo transports BUS RSH194XF, which was scheduled for ABJ to MKD, operating at 8:00Hrs and was asked to wait at total filling station, Mararaba for pick up.
On arriving total filling station, all efforts to reach Hon. Amande was not successful.
As can be seen in the playback history of our “Vehicle Tracker” as attached.
BUS -RSH194XF,8:00hrs services left our Area 3 bus Station by 8:03AM and briefly stopped for 3minutes 25seconds, close to SARS junction Abuja, where Hon. Amande asked us to pick a parcel for him, which was not successful because the person he asked us to receive the parcel from never showed up.
We proceeded and arrived total filling station in Mararaba, Nasarawa State at exactly 8:37AM and waited for Hon. Amande for 6 minutes, 29seconds. (All the other five passengers onboard Bus RSH 194XF, 8:00hrs services can attest to this).
While waiting I went down personally to look for Hon. Amande, but with five (5) other passengers onboard who were visibly not happy for exceeding the 5minutes waiting time we promised them, I authorized the vehicle to leave for mkd.
It came to me as surprise when Hon. Amande called that he was at Total filling station by 8:00am but was left behind.
However, I sincerely apologized to him and while I was still pondering on what to do to arrest the situation, I got some calls from friends that Hon. Amande is threatening law suits against Zaamo transport.
Upon arrival in mkd, I received a letter from Hon. Amande’s lawyers seeking a compensation of N10Million from zaamo transport for negligence, unprofessional service and for been silent whilst Hon. Amande suffers trauma.
We wish to state the fact and clear the air that:
1. We had no intentions of leaving Hon Amande behind for whatsoever reason as No Sane transporter, who is into transport for profit (with the high cost of fuel now) would leave their customers behind and fly with empty Seats to makurdi.
2. Our bus was at total filling station Mararaba by 8:37am and waited for 6minutes, 29 seconds.
3. Our silence on this issue was as a result of the shock we experienced sharing in Hon. Amande’s pain.
Whilst no apology or even compensation is enough, we want Hon. Amande to know that we deeply regret this incident and sincerely apologize for the great inconveniences caused.
…this recent incident highlights a gap in our services, which will lead us to strengthening our business processes in all areas of operations so that such occurrences will never happen again.
But most importantly, we promised better services to all our customers going forward.
We wish to use this opportunity to remind all our dear customers that:

BREAKING NEWS:
NATIONAL ASSEMBLY GRANTS FULL AUTONOMY TO THE 774 LOCAL GOVERNMENTS OF NIGERIA AS INEC IS NOW TO CONDUCT LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS...
"The National Assembly on Tuesday, granted full financial and administrative autonomy to all the 774 local council authorities across Nigeria by amending section 124 of the nation’s constitution.
The section provides a consequential provision for the making of the local councils, a full third tier government without undue interference from the state governments.
The ammendment was one of the 22 others approved by the House of Representatives last week and ratified by the Senate on Tuesday.
Both chambers had through a conference committee harmonised versions of the ammendments into the constitution carried out by each of them last month.
By the development, the National Assembly had ratified all the 23 clauses and sections that had been ammended by both chambers.
The newly ammended document which would be sent to States Houses of Assembly, for approval, also approved the creation of the Office of Auditor General of the Local Government as well as the State Local Government Service Commission.
The section equally deleted the State
Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) from the constitution thereby vesting the powers to conduct council elections on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
It however, retained the immunity clause in the constitution for the President and Governors by adopting the Senate version of the ammendments on the issue and rejected the House of Representatives version which removed the immunity clause.
The National Assembly also made provisions for Independent Candidacy in future elections in Nigeria by amending sections 65 and 106 of the 1999 constitution..."
