Through years of training and learning I’ve come to many insights when it comes to nutrition and training. These may be familiar for you and also beginners and that’s why I think it’s interesting to talk about since it will make your fitness journey less overcomplicated.

1️⃣ Stressing about not hitting your daily macros
I personally used to freak myself out whenever I didn’t meet my protein intake by the end of the day with 5 grams or exceeded my carb intake slightly.. We want to do things perfect right, but some days that’s impossible due to life situations, work etc. Your progress won’t be ruined by not hitting your protein goal on one single day, progress is made through years of consistency. So hitting your macros on the long-term is what will serve your results.

2️⃣ Cardio on empty stomach will help me lose fat faster
I used to believe (& getting told) this but research shows it’s not. Whether you do cardio in the morning, evening or afternoon results will be equal. I personally prefer to do cardio first thing in the morning as it really helps to waken me up & start the day with a fresh & active mind.

3️⃣ Cheatmeals & gaining weight
I used to stress so much about eating a cheatmeal and would literally weigh myself straight after to see if I gained weight or not.. so toxic. Ofcourse you’ll weigh a little more the day after because our bodies always do anyway. This is mainly influenced by fluid intake, salt intake, activity, digestion and general calorie intake. The bloat after a cheatmeal usually goes away within 2 days after consuming it and when resuming the clean (less processed) foods again. So enjoy the cheatmeal & don’t worry! ☺️👌🏼
