*LEADING BY EXAMPLE*

_Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime._ *(Daniel 6:10)(KJV)*

*Daniel was a leader of high excellence. He equipped himself in sound knowledge of law, doctrine, science and all things, also in craft, wisdom, and spiritual wise.* A leader is charged with the responsibility of grooming people unto fulfillment. God does not call leaders based on their ability but their availability.

*As a leader, your encounter with God determines your standards and influence on your subjects.* E.g Moses and Daniel. were leaders who influenced people more in litestyle than their direct input, and they inspired more than they instructed.

*Two categories of leaders include;* carnal and spiritual leaders. We have some leaders in the church today who have no spiritual encounter with God. *They are dominated with carnality principles, thought and knowledge.* These leaders are easily manipulated into corruption and temptation.

*It is the Holy Spirit that gives the ability after our availability.* From our anchor text, we see the exemporary life of Daniel as shown thus:

His Devotional Life; even in the midst of trouble, accusation, conspiracy and order against worshiping God. He still maintained his three times daily prayer routine.

His attention was not deviated from God even amidst the noise of the people. *When you give God your whole attention, He will grant you your intentions.*
His association with the wise Hebrew Children: Proverbs 13:20; "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed". *The spiritual life of a leader is influenced by his type of association and this turns out to affect and influence the people under his leadership.*

*All leaders are expected to work on their lifestyle first because it has a great grid around the strength and influence of their leadership on their subject.*

*TASK FOR TODAY:*
Maintain your steady devotional lifestyle. Don't allow your job, or business to take your time for devotion in prayers and studying of the bible.

1️⃣ Appreciate God, ask for His mercy.

2️⃣ O Lord, my God, I ask for fresh encounter with you in Jesus name.

3️⃣ OLord, my God, impart on me the spiritual unction for leadership in Jesus name.

4️⃣ O Lord, my God, bless me, my family, ministry and business in Jesus name.

5️⃣ Pray as you are led.
