In several MDAs and public office buildings across Niger state, people with disabilities find it because there is no ramp or lift for wheelchairs. This is the harsh reality for many Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the State, despite the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act of 2019 mandating accessibility and inclusion.

From inaccessible hospitals without sign language interpreters, to public transport where drivers speed off without waiting for those with mobility aids to the inability to cross the roads unaided, PWDs are marginalized in every corner: health, banking, economy, transportation, education, and beyond.

This is the reason why Succeeding Against All Odds is organizing the Niger State Disability Inclusion Summit because it is crucial and time to move beyond lip service and seek action from the government.

This summit aims to bring together government, grassroots voices and advocates to build a truly inclusive state. Will you join the conversation? Will you be part of the change?
