🔥 He was one of the most educated men in Egypt, yet he still failed

Moses spent 40 years learning everything Egypt had to offer; wisdom, strategy, power, eloquence. The Bible even says he was mighty in words and deeds. By every standard, he was equipped.

But when God finally appeared to him, Moses said three words that stopped everything: "I cannot speak."

How does a man mighty in words suddenly say he cannot speak?

Because the revelation of God didn't just change Moses' assignment, it revealed the inadequacy of everything he had gathered on his own. And that revelation created something Egypt never could: 𝐚 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟.

The exploits of Moses that shook nations, parted seas, and fed millions in a desert were never traced back to what he learned in Pharaoh's palace. They were traced back to one thing; 𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐨𝐝.

And God said to him: "My presence will go with you and I will give you rest."

That presence was the mystery. The sea didn't run from Moses. It ran from what followed Moses.

Here's the question that stopped me cold this week: Are you busy for God, or are you busy with God?

Because you can run ministries, attend every service, post scriptures daily and still have God without a place in your life. Intimacy is not activity. His presence is not the same as dwelling in his presence.
