Lens University Ilemona has hosted a National Universities Commission (NUC) resource inspection team for the assessment of 12 additional academic programmes, including Law, Pharmacy, Optometry, Physiotherapy, Engineering, Software Engineering, Economics, Finance, and Marketing.

The NUC team, led by Abubakar M. Girei, commended the University’s management and founders for providing a conducive academic environment and adequate infrastructural facilities, noting the institution’s readiness to commence the proposed programmes.

The University Proprietors appreciated the NUC team for the thorough inspection and pledged to address all recommendations for improvement promptly.

Meet Comrade Abdullahi Ismail Omotosho, the newly elected SUG President of Lens Polytechnic Offa.

Students of Lens Polytechnic Offa have successfully elected a new set of Students’ Union Government (SUG) executives for the 2026/2027 academic session. The election, which took place on Friday, 17 April 2026, at the Polytechnic’s permanent site, saw Comrade Abdullahi Ismail Omotosho—popularly known as “Buhari” from the Computer Science Department—emerge as the president-elect.

While announcing the results, the institution’s proprietor, Dr. Yisa Azeez (FCA), urged the newly elected leaders to stay committed to their responsibilities, uphold the trust placed in them by the students, and protect the institution’s reputation.

In his earlier remarks, the Chairman of Lens Institutions, Mallam Isiaka Azeez, congratulated the executives and encouraged them to remain dedicated, focused, and purpose-driven. He also challenged them to leave a lasting legacy through exemplary leadership and to serve as worthy ambassadors of the institution.

Lens Polytechnic Student From Offa Local Government Emerges First Nigerian To Be Globally Recognised By Apple As A Security Researcher
For the second time, the world's largest technology company( Apple) has shortlisted a Computer Science student of Lens Polytechnic Offa, an Offa Born Cyber Security Expert, Yunus Oyetunde ( Coy Emerald) as the only Nigerian on the list of Apple security researchers for the year 2024.
As a young and talented Nigerian, Coy Emerald has carved a niche for himself in the cyber security industry with his deep-rooted specialization in Ethical Hacking.
He is a young and accomplished cybersecurity expert, the visionary behind the O-range Ethical Hacking Class, serving as both its CEO and instructor.
With a passion for educating others, he has garnered recognition for imparting cybersecurity knowledge and building a profitable venture.
Yunus has risen to prominence on social media, solidifying his position as a leading ethical hacker in Nigeria. Armed with extensive experience, he is dedicated to not only maximizing revenue through adept social media marketing but also sharing these strategies with others. Yunus aspires to be a driving force for cyber security advancement in Africa.
Beyond his role as an educator, Yunus has made significant contributions as a bug bounty hunter and technical writer.
